Today we got to interview the hottest duo in Thailand "Golf-Pichaya Nitipaisalkul - Mike - Pirat Nitipaisalkul" about their special project "GYM , which is a collaboration with Japan's famous singer "YamaP - Tomohisa Yamashita".

What do you feel about this GYM project ?
Golf : I'm very glad...I got to visit Japan again. (Laughs) Alright, I'm so glad that I've got a chance to step forward. And Golf and Mike have to fly over to Japan and stay there for 2 weeks. During these 2 weeks, we will do the recording, practicing the dance and filming the PV.
Mike : I'm very glad and I have fun working with them without a bit of tiredness. Because there weren't any stress on us, we just put through with out work. Overthere there's a lot of things to do including shopping...but we didn't really time to do anyway. I tried to practice my Japanese and that made me forget about the stress and I got to talk to Japanese artists which was fun.

A very good chance for you guys ?
Mike : It's a very good chance for us to get to work with Japanese company. It's our new experience that occurs in our lives. We got to do new things that we had never done before like singing in front of Japanese audiences. Oh..yeah we have done that but this time, we got to release music there under the group called GYM with Yamashita.

What about the process of recording this song ?
Golf : They sent the song over to Thailand. Golf and Mike practiced singing this song in Thailand. Other songs were recorded in Japan except "Fever To Future" was recorded in Thailand. The Japanese producer came here and recorded Golf and Mike's vocals to mix with YamaP's in Japan.

Having met YamaP for the first time, what do you feel about that ?
Golf : I was so excited. First few days, he was quiet and didn't talk much but then after that he talked a lot. He's a talkative one. (Laughs) Yamashita were really nice to us krub.
Mike : At first, when I met him, I felt a bit stress because I didn't know him well and didn't have much chance to talk to eachother yet. Although last 2 years that we met for the concert, he was cheerful but this time after we didn't meet for 2 years, I rather felt a bit awkward and I was afraid if he'd like to talk with us or not. On the first day, we only introduced eachother but didn't get to talk much. That made me lose a confidence, somehow. But afterthat, we met again, he was friendly indeed, 'cause we got to work with him all day & almost everyday. I felt closer...like having a new friend. And also got to know later that he could speak English, then we spoke English to eachother and help eachother with the languages.

Have you got a language problem ?
Golf : A bit. Now I'm trying to study more Japanese. When we talk, we use Japanese, English and the physical language krub. One day, I saw Yamashita was playing something....like a English-learning game. Golf (I) asked him what he was doing and he said he got to remember the vocabs for the coming exam and he'd like to improve his English. Then I helped him with some English and he taught me Japanese too.

YamaP..the real person...what's he like ?
Golf : Ho...he's gained so much muscle. Last time I met him, he was skinny. It's me that's skinny now. (Laughs) Golf (I) asked what he had done to make it so muscular in only 2 years. Very muscular chest!! He told that he plays the surfboard. He told me to try surfboarding but I didn't have a chance to 'cause we worked almost all the time. I got only a day break so I went hanging out and shopping. (Laughs) Oh..I didn't go shopping with YamaP, of course. (Laughs) On that day, he had to film his series.

Anything to say about him?
Golf : Yeah. We like to call him "Mr. Tomo" 'cause it means "Friend". I taught him some Thai such as "Sawasdee Krub" and then he taught us a Japanese which is "Tsuki mo yoroshiku". He had a funny way to say that and make us say after him. Quite funny. And...at a TV show interview, they asked us if we'd like to compare ourselves to animals, what would us be? The result is monkies. Golf and Mike are compared to monkies but Yamapi is a king kong (laughs). Yamapi told that he would be a king kong so that he could protect the 2 monkies. Actually, Yamapi seemed to be quiet but sometimes he slipped out jokes and that was funny!
Mike : With Yamashita, there were a lot of funny moments. Actually, he's a funny guy and he's a very good guy. He's always funny with all the stuffs. There's our special words in English which is "I know it." We say this all the time.... like something happened, then we said "I know it!" I thought this would happen...something like this.

Did Yamapi give your any suggestions about working ?
Golf : He gave us suggestions about being on stage. And he suggested us some answers to some simple questions that the interviewers would ask.
Mike : In an interview, he said he would teach us how to win girls. (Laughs) But so far, he hasn't taught us yet. He told he would do it off-stage, but so far he hasn't done that yet. (Laughs)

The press conference for GYM in Japan, how was it ?
Golf : Very excited. There were a lot of Japanese press. And they all used only Japanese. They had us an interpreter only once and afterthat, Yamapi got to help us by translating it into English for us.

Any pressure ?
Mike : Yeah. Most of it is the language problem. Japanese people speak very fast that I couldn't catch up. Although I might understand some words but if they speak it fast, then I won't be able to catch it. Sometimes, I only figure out some words and use a common sense about what's happening and what they talk about. I gotta combine all stuffs to make me understand it. I'm practicing. ^^

Is the PV filming in Japan different from that in Thailand ?
Mike : Different krub. In Japan, they filmed a PV very fast and they continued without a break. They only give a break when they change the surrounding. And the preparation is done, they continue the filming. They make use of every minute. When they take a photoshoot, they don't take one shot a time but 10-20 shots a time. shutter...shutter..shutter..DONE. So fast that I was surprised.(Laughs) And in Japan, everything is exactly on time, I'd be dead if I wake up late. (Laughs)

Yamapi has his own band which is News and then he steps into this project with you. Are you afraid that News' fans might be unsatisfy with you ?
Golf : No. 'Cause this is just a special unit. A special international unit that is for a limited period to support the Volleyball. News hasn't broken up, I can insist you this.

What about another 4 guys, KITY, have you talked to eachother ?
Mike : Other 4 guys are funny. We can get along well. I asked them about manga... about what will happen next. (Laughs) 'cause the manga is more advanced episodes than in Thailand so I asked them about the final episode. Using English mixed with Japanese.

Apart from Yamapi, who else did you meet ?
Golf : We met Tackey krub but we didn't get a chance to talk much. We only greet eachother and he was very busy at the time, he only showed up at the same show as us.

What about Japanese fans ?
Golf : Japanese fans are very cute. And they're friendly. When Mike told them his age, they were so surprised 'cause Mike is so tall. At his age of 16, they were so surprised because boys at the age are usually smaller-figured there. And they also said why the elder brother looked so baby-faced. (Laughs)

What would you like to study more ?
Mike : Actually, I've got a plan that I'd like to take dance courses. There're dancing courses in Japan, all types of dancing such as hip hop, jazz, etc, but they're too expensive and I don't think I have enough budgets. (Laughs) When we practiced the dance, I was afraid because there were loads of Johnny's Jrs there. And we were positioned in the middle of the room, I was a bit stressfull. I didn't know anyone except Yamashita and KITY at the time. I was afraid that they might think that I wasn't that good. I was so worried all the time but I put in it all that I got.

At last, what would you like to say to your fans here in Thailand ?
Golf : Please support the GYM single and continue to support us. We try our best and we won't forget about Thai fans absolutely. As for Yamapi, he's very nice and very friendly. He was very friendly to us although he's an Asian superstar but he gave us a very warm welcome. He's fun to talk with.
Mike : Hope fans will support this project and support us krub. We'd like to be a representative from Thailand to tighten the Thailand - Japan friendship. Please support us. We do our best and hopefully one day we'll be able to release our own music in Japan. Yamashita is a very nice person. He's funny and cheerful. It's not that he's a superstar then he wouldn't talk to us. He's a very good person and he's very nice. He always cares about others. He's fun and happy to talk with. He's the person that we'd like to be friends with krub.
