G-JR INTO THE GROOVE
Q: When did G-Junior (G-JR) get started?
A: (Nut) The G-JR project has been going for four years. It was originally started by Golf and Mike, who still support us. Happy and I are also from the first generation while Chin, Guy, Madiow, Jay, Ice, and Ken are the from second.
Q: So, whats the concept of this album?
A: (Nut) Its about the gang of cool, confident teenagers who love of music, and want to show its power. (Chin) Its a mix of Hip-Hop, Pop, R&B, Rock, and Dance. The songs are produced to suit the different characters in the band.
Q: How do your personalities differ?
A: (Jay) Im joyful, singing with a clear sweet soprano. (Madiow) Im confident and like kidding around. (Ice) Easy-going. (Happy) I like freedom. (Chin) Happy and naughty. (Ken) A solemn and serious boy. (Nut) A provocative boy (Jay, Madiow, Chin) Absolutely yes! He loves to tease us!
Q: How Come?
A: (Nut) He never gets mad when hes teased, just always smiles. (Chin) He is cool, even in serious situations. (All) Yeah right!
Q: Hows the feedback to the album been?
A: (Jay) Quite good. Many of my friends enjoy this kind of music.
Q: From working with Golf & Mike, do you wanna be like them?
A: (Nut, Chin, Jay) Sure, wed like to be successful like them but, seriously, we dont want to be them. We have our own style and want people to appreciate our own songs, not compare us with others.
Q: All of you are studying, so how do you manage your time?
A: (Happy) No problem because our work is usually after school; mostly in the afternoons or evenings. (Chin) If our work-time clashes with our school-time, our friends help us.
Q: Do you have time to do other activities?
A: (All) Sure! We enjoy some sports like: (Jay) Badminton (Madiow) Football (Ice) Badminton (Happy) Swimming, Handball (Ken) Tennis Table Tennis, Basketball (Chin) Football, Basketball (Nut) Basketball, Swimming
Q: How do your schoolfriends, especially girls, act when they met you?
A: (Ice) They are very nice. They congratulate us for following our dreams.
Q: What do you think about J Pop and K Pop trends?
A: (Ice) Its popular in Thailand and many Asian countries but actually it depends on your style or taste. It isnt necessary to always follow the hit-trend.
Q: Do you have any problems working together?
(Chin) Sometimes, but it doesnt take a long time to clear up because all of us are really close and we trust each other.
Q: How do you manage to avoid the temptations of the music industry?
A: (Chin) Our parents are the most important element; they teach us not to get carried away with the situation remind us to set priorities in our work.
Q: Before becoming GJR, had any of you had performing experience?
A: (Happy) I recently performed in the stage musical Thawiphob the Musical. (Madiow) Ive been a model in advertising broadcast in France.
Q: Any messages for your fans?
A: (Chin) Check out the new album! (Nut) We tried our best with the album. (Jay) Its something new you should try.
