ICE's Fun Tunes Also Enjoyable

In Japan

He's the next artist that will go international, "ICE" Sarunyu Winaipanit with his fun tunes will be releasing a single with "NEST", a Japanese music company in the cultural exchange project between Thailand and Japan. The single is due this September. Ice has recently been to Japan and talked on details.

"For this, I'm quite like a cultural ambassdor to represent the Thai-ness to foreigners. The reason why I'm picked because the Japanese crews saw me in karaoke MVs and became interested to work with me. At first that I heard about this, I was very surprised. It was unpected. So I haven't got time to prepare much yet. Before I went to Japan, I only had 4 hours to study Japanese. Anyway, while staying in Japan for 7 days, it helps me trying to communicate in Japanese."

The singer also mentioned that working in Japan is fun but he gets lonely sometimes. It's good to be as a pair like Golf & Mike 'cause another can help on what to say. And he doesn't want to be compared to Golf & Mike.

"As I witnessed, Golf & Mike have already got a lot of fans. But I'm only just starting. I will try step by step from now on. There're quite a number of Japanese fans that knows the song "Kon Jai Ngai" from my first album (ICE Sarunyu) too. I'm very glad they can sing my song although they might not understand the meaning."

Ice told that the artist approach in Japan is very different from Thailand. It's a lot easier to approach artists in Thailand. And it's rather strange for him to see the way it is in Japan.

As for going on to another country, Ice said he would to focus what he's responsible now first.

"Now in Thailand, I'll be releasing my 2nd album, Party On Ice which is also depicted my name. People usually think of Ice as the singer who sings fun songs so I would like this album to be for parties and it also has a lot of flavors on it.

The genre of this album is pop dance like the first album. But the difference is that now I and my producing team quite knows what the audiences want from us which is they like us to do upbeat songs. That's why this album has more upbeat songs than slow ones. It's probably my strong point. I used to get up on stage and sang slow song and tried to get into the feeling of it but the audiences hardly get along with it. So when I got backstage, I was funny with myself that I kept feeling sad alone."

As for the specialities of this album, Ice said he's got some friends to help on this album, such as KAL (Kalorin Neemayotin) who helped writing "Yah Len Tua" and Win (Rattanapol Kengrian) of Potato who played guitars.

"It seems like I release music continuously but in fact , this is just my 2nd album. Other projects are not actually mine but they keep me in public. But don't feel bored with me yet 'cause I've still got a lot to say." , Ice begged fans at last.
