Golf - I'm impressed with a lot of issues. For example, when we decided to step into the entertainment world, I was impressed with Mike because actually he was too young to be here. His friends went to school and after school, they went hanging out but as for Mike, after school he has to go to work. He's very patient and he trys very hard. I'm impressed with this of Mike krub.

Mike - Must be my latest birthday, P'Golf wrote me a birthday card with wishes and his confession. P'Golf taught and gave me suggestions but I wouldn't like to spread this out. I'm touched with that na krub.

Have you ever seriously quarrelled ?

Golf - A bit. If telling that there's none, you'd think it's a lie. Just like other siblings, we stay in the same house, then there must be some arguments. But our arguments have never been as serious as hitting each other. Mostly, after the quarrel, we just go separately but then we go to work, we get together and make it up.

Mike - We have never seriously faught. P'Golf mostly complains and keeps advising me when I'm not up to his aspect. I listen to him sometimes but sometimes I walk away to my room. I used to watch him keeping fussy, it was funny. But as he's the elder brother, when he teaches I do listen to it sometimes.

Mostly after the quarrel, who's the first who wants to make it up ? And what do you do to make it up ?

Golf - It depends on each issue. When it's my false, I come in first and if it's Mike, then Mike comes in first. Our arguments don't stay long 'cause we work together. Sometimes we talk over works and laugh , then we forget that we still have a fight. But we never have to try to make it up...like saying "please make it up".... that we have never done. We just talk like a man and a man.

Mike - We have never had to try to make it up. 'Cause we see each other every single day. Sometimes we forget that we have a fight. We're together all the time then it's easy to start talking. Sometimes father and mother brings us to talk it over.

What do you worry about each other ?

Golf - I'm worried about Mike's health. He's been getting sick easily since he was young. He has an allergic rhinitis and he has an asthma. When we work too hard or get less time to rest, he'll be weak. We both go to school and work so we're tired. I don't get sick that much, but Mike goes to hospital very often. Anyway, fans don't have to worry 'cause Mother routinely takes us to do the check-up.

Mike - P'Golf likes to stay up late especially now when he's focusing on writing songs and computer graphics. If P'Golf would like to do something, he must succeed in doing it or else he wouldn't stop. Sometimes it's late already after work, but P'Golf still continues to stay up for that and it lessens his time to sleep. I'm worried about him. Father and mother usually advise him on this.

Frequently used words between Golf & Mike

Golf - There's no frequently used words but there's only frequently impressive words...HA... I usually teach and advise him na krub.

Mike - "Hey!!...P'Golf" when we see something cool, I usually say this to P'Golf.

What do you compare Golf-Mike to ?

Golf - (Probably) Pa Tong Ko. (youtiao or u char kway, in Chinese) 'Cause we're always together. If separatedly, we wouldn't be Golf-Mike.

Mike - A pair of shoes. 'Cause if there's only one shoe, we couldn't keep on walking.

What would you like to tell each other ?

Golf - Take care of yourself and concentrate in working.

Mike - P'Golf should get a girlfriend. Eversince we started working, P'Golf hasn't got any girlfriends. I hope he will get a girlfriend so that he wouldn't have time to keep fussy on me.

- How do you feel you're getting 1 year older ?
"It's...YAY...I'm glad. But I'm also sad at the same time that I get 1 year older. (Laughs) It's not what I look forward to. And this year, I turn 2x. Anyway, I'm delight that my birthday is on 20th and I also turn 20, hope something good will happen in my life."

- What have you planned to do on your birthday ?
"I'll be working on that day but after birthday if I've got some free time, I'll hold a party at my house. I'll bring lots of friends 'cause it's been a long time since I partied with them. So many bad things had happened to my friends. One got a leukemia and another died in a car accident. So I'd like to have time with my friends."

- What would you like your birthday party in your dream to be ?
"I want a luxury one. And when my friends arrive, they get surprised..."OMG! Golf" And I'll bring loads of my friends and all the producing team krub."

- Anything you especially would like to get for this year ?
"Actually I've asked my mother for a new PC/laptop 'cause I write songs so I'd like to use it for my work. I expect that in the 3rd album, I'll be able to put in my ideas more. "

- What about girlfriend ? Would you like to have one now ?
"Not yet. In deed, right now I'm having fun with workings 'cause I get to write songs, to write lyrics and we get to choreograph for MVs. Now we get to do a lot of stuffs so let's keep girlfriend thingy for later."

- As a singer, if you don't sing Happy Birthday on birthday, what song you would sing ?
"I'll sing Sexy Girl. (Laughs) It's a track on the new album that I wrote. And there's gotta be pretty dancers."

- If you were Aladdin having a magic lamp, what is the one thing that you would like to ask from it ?
"In movies, there's a thing called "Teleport". I really want that so that I would be able to 'teleport' abroad , to here and there. And we won't have to get stuck in the traffic jams. I want one of this."

- At last, please give a birthday wish for girls who were born on the same day as you.
"Hope you have a very happy birthday. Anyone who turn 20, hope you will have more responsibilities and will set your life's goal and make your way to that goal krub."

MIKE TALKING ABOUT GOLF'S BIRTHDAY

- Say something behind your brother!!
"He likes to tease me. And he's very fussy. He complains all the time. Don't know why he's this fussy. (Laughs) But Brother really concentrates in working and he works very hard. Hope he will continue that. There's nothing to worry much about him but I do worry about him liking to stay up very late. He barely sleep 'cause he stays up late to write songs."

- Have you prepared a birthday present to surprise your brother yet ?
"Actually, yesterday I found the thing I would really like to get for him but I didn't bring my money so I didn't buy it. But I'll see what I'll get for him."

- What type of birthday party you would like to hold for him ?
"I'd like to hold a party by our swimming pool and bring lots of friends. In the party, there should be a lot of girls in bikinis so that P'Golf will be happy."

- What activity would you like to bring Golf to do ?
"I'd like to bring him to the temple 'cause everytime I go to the temple, I get calmed down. So when P'Golf teases me, I'll be able to calm down. Anything he says, anything he teases me, I won't get back to him. (Laughs) And we will able to make merit too.

- At last, give your birthday wish to Golf.
"I wish P'Golf a lot of happiness. Eat cakes deliciously. Get a lot of birthday presents and please with them. Hope his works go well. And hope he will be healthy krub."

Grammys newest teen group takes the stage

Last year saw the massive success of the hot boy band G-Jr, a group recruited through the GMM Grammy development project G-Junior. That programme nurtured the talents of youngsters who company executives believed were capable of eventually becoming stars.

The boys and their album, 10 Club, stole girls hearts all over the kingdom but left most teen boy fans longing for someone to scream for and swoon over, too.

Luckily for adolescent males everywhere, Grammy had their next group waiting in the wings, even as G-Jr were taking the country by storm. The same project that spawned the G-Jr heartthrobs produced their female counterparts, Preppy G, a group with enough fresh-faced 16 to 19-year-old girls to form a football team.

After four challenging years of training to develop their singing and acting skills, the girls of Preppy G Pimnapa Wongwisawakon (Tan), Hassaya Isariyasereekul (Praew), Patjaree Pimsamaee (Teen), Natcha Chatlaong (Ploy), Phutrapee Wongsittipat (Bewty), Pitcha Petcharoen (Pang), Nattanan Kiadladathanit (Great), Nanthiya Wright (Tina), Jocelyn Gandy (Skye), Suthinan Ampornchatchavan (Lek) and Sitapar Uttaburanont (Mae) are ready to take on the Thai pop scene.

To find out more about these 11 junior divas, their four-year training programme and their plans for the future, Student Weekly headed to the GMM Building for a group interview.

>> Question: When you were auditioning for the G-Junior project, how many competitors were you up against?

<< Mae: A lot. More than 1,000, I think.

<< Ploy: Yes, that many. At first, I couldnt believe that I was chosen.

>> Question: You spent four years training with the G-Junior project before releasing this album. What were you learning during that time?

<< Great: We learned everything: dancing, singing and acting. We worked every day after school and on the weekends.

<< Teen: After that, we made appearances in a Bird Thongchai concert and at the Pattaya Music Festival. We also worked as presenters for commercial advertising, did fashion shoots and appeared in music videos.

<< Ploy: They helped us learn and get as much experience as we could to get ready for today.

>> Question: How would you describe your music?

<< Mae: This album is a mix of different types of pop music.

<< Great: Each of us has a different personality, so a variety of pop styles works very well when were together.

<< Praew: Our album is called Lets Go. Our first single is the title track. Its an accessible pop song with a mix of retro, disco sounds. The next single Rob Guan Mar Love Gun (Lets Love), is a cool hip-hop song that features a rap by our friend Chin from G-Jr.

>> Question: Are you guys good friends with Golf and Mike?

<< Great: Yes, but we dont see them that often any more. Theyre always busy.

<< Pang: We met a lot during the training programme. They taught us a lot of outlandish dance steps. Theyre really good at those. [Laughs.]

>> Question: With so many members in the group, how do you divide up the singing duties?

<< Pang: Most of the songs on the album are group songs.

<< Great: But there are four songs on the album that feature solos by Tan, Tina, Bewty, and Teen.

>> Question: Have you ever had any arguments or found it hard to spend so much time together?

<< Praew: Were not people who are together just to put out an album.

<< Mae: Yes, weve been together and shared good and bad times for four years. Now were more like close friends than just co-workers.

>> Question: Whats the concept behind your fashion?

<< Great: We all dress in white, but you can tell whos who by the colour of our socks.

Tina: Yes, we all have different coloured socks. We also have dolls that we carry with us all the time. Theyre all different and reflect our personalities.

>> Question: Do any of you have plans for solo albums in the future?

<< Tan: Maybe, but we havent decided yet. For now, Mae is the only one who has a solo project. She working with a Japanese music company.

<< Mae: Its a cooperative project between the Japanese company and Grammy. Theyre trying to find new Thai artists to make music in Japan.

Ive only recorded two songs, but Ill be going back soon to work on more. Its kind of lonely, being there alone. But Ive had a really great time working with them.
